We aim to recruit individuals who are talented, independent thinking and committed. We have professional team members working at the level of legal assistant, junior associate, associate, senior associate and partner.
Work at the Firm
Our firm is selective on the type and number of transactions we execute at a given time. As a result, we work in cross-practice teams which gives our associates both rounded and specialized experience across a spectrum of corporate and commercial law transactions.
On account of our firm size and structure, we work in an informal and collegiate environment through which all our staff have a close working relationship with partners. All our team members split their time at the firm between handling billable and non-billable activities within the firm.
Our team develops continuously through various initiatives in place, central to which is the MMA Law Academy whose three-prong training is focused on the areas of technical expertise, leadership and culture. Our lawyers have the opportunity to take up slots reserved for us at training programs run by the international law firms we collaborate with while the more senior of the associates have the opportunity for secondment to such firms.
Joining the Team
Recruitment is mostly done between December and March of each year. We may occasionally recruit during other times of the year when slots become available. A candidate that is shortlisted and contacted may expect to have two interviews.
We usually prefer to recruit professionals at entry level. These are usually candidates falling within up to 2 years after completion of bar studies, who are then afforded the opportunity to rise through the ranks. We are however also open to considering highly talented professionals for mid or senior level positions that are the right fit.
